Oola Integrates New Payment System for Smoother Online Shopping

Following its successful Indiegogo campaign and ecommerce store launch, Oola is excited to share that it has unveiled a new payment system that lets shoppers seamlessly browse and shop on oolasports.com.

The new system enables our users to have an in-app experience when browsing our catalog versus going to our Indiegogo campaign to buy Oola products.

Same Great Products, New Shopping Experience

Powered by online payment gateway PayFort, the system launched two weeks ago and has been working wonderfully for our site. As a startup, we are consistently working towards improving user experience. We want our customers to have a seamless experience, and hence, setting up out own payment gateway was the most logical step to take.

The new system doesn’t affect product availability. In fact, you can still find all of your favorite Oola gear on our ecommerce site, from headcovers to pants, tops, and jackets.

The only change coming with this integration is shipping rates. Due to an increase demand on our products, we went from a free shipping based model to a tiered flat rate model. This means that for the first three products, the shipping rate is the same, then for the next three products the shipping rate is similar, and so on. For local customers in Qatar, we have the same flat shipping rate independent of the number of items ordered.

Simpler Logistics for Oola

While customers will love the new payment system for its simpler logistics, Oola also benefits from a smoother user experience on our side, too. The new payment system has made Oola’s work easier by combining the logistics of different platforms under a single one. This allows us to reduce our processing time and attend to orders faster.

Choosing the right payment gateway solution for a business can often determine whether or not your online store is successful. The Oola online store is always a work in progress. Upcoming iterations will be geared towards further improving the user experience and new features will be added to allow our customers to keep in touch with events organized by Oola. Over the past few months, Oola has been involved in Qatar National Sports Day, the Doha Triathlon, Education City Market, multiple Oola Run 3K and 5K events, Wellness Day at Six Senses Spa, and ongoing Ladies Training Days at Losail International Circuit, among other gatherings. We’ve certainly got to pull together a calendar, given all that we’re up to!
